Meløy is a long municipality with many villages – and a public transport service that does not always meet the needs in the evening. For young people who want to participate in leisure activities or just meet friends, it can mean that transport becomes a barrier.
The municipality chose to do something about it. Through Nimmo, they have set up a dedicated transport service for youth, with routes that connect the villages. On Tuesdays and Fridays, a total of 7 routes are operated. Young people can easily book through the Nimmo app, and the drivers have full oversight via Nimmo Driver. Two local taxi companies operate the routes, thus strengthening the local economy as well.
